Website and estimating scope terms
Commercial work begins with an agreed project scope, fee, deliverable and delivery date.
Website examples
Guides, diagrams and downloadable sample workbooks are illustrative. They are not engineering advice, procurement quantities, fabrication instructions, product approvals or binding supplier quotations.
Project acceptance
Submission of an enquiry does not create an estimating engagement. Availability, scope, fee, currency, delivery date, review allowance, confidentiality and revision terms require a separate written agreement.
Design and tender responsibility
Takeoffs are unstamped pre-construction quantity and scope outputs. The project design team retains engineering and compliance responsibility. The contractor retains final tender review, rate approval and bid submission.
Revisions and pricing
Only the agreed drawing cut-off is included unless revised in writing. Supplier prices, labour rates, tax, access, waste and equipment allowances require identified inputs and an agreed basis. Changes to documents or scope may require a revised quotation.
