Curtain wall & window wall

Curtain wall bid scope gaps

Facade interfaces can sit outside the main glazing elevations. Reconcile structural, waterproofing and fire barrier details with the subcontract scope.

What to check before measurement

  1. Review embeds and cast-in channels on structural sheets.
  2. Assign membrane tie-ins and perimeter fire barrier work.
  3. Clarify supports, railings, testing and protection by trade.

A practical bid example

An embed appears on an S-sheet with no glazing schedule line. Log it as a scope question and quantify only from a defined detail.

What the reviewer should receive

An interface matrix with source, proposed owner, status and bid qualification.

Keep revisions and responsibility visible

Record the source sheet, detail or specification and revision beside the affected item. When information conflicts, leave the affected quantity or price pending and attach a question for the authorised project contact. A blank or unresolved entry must never be silently converted into zero.

Before issuing a revised package, identify changed, removed and added items. Separate measurement corrections from new scope and keep the previous output marked as superseded. The contractor retains final tender review and approval.
