Curtain wall & window wall

Curtain wall estimating checklist

Keep curtain wall measurement organised by elevation, level and system. A traceable breakdown makes podium exceptions and interface omissions visible.

What to check before measurement

  1. Split vision, spandrel, infill and shadow-box modules.
  2. List mullions, transoms, covers, plates and specified brackets.
  3. Review structural sheets, perimeter barriers and access scope.

A practical bid example

A north elevation and a typical upper floor can share modules but have different base anchors. Preserve level-specific connection notes.

What the reviewer should receive

An elevation workbook with drawing references, profile registers and open interface items.

Keep revisions and responsibility visible

Record the source sheet, detail or specification and revision beside the affected item. When information conflicts, leave the affected quantity or price pending and attach a question for the authorised project contact. A blank or unresolved entry must never be silently converted into zero.

Before issuing a revised package, identify changed, removed and added items. Separate measurement corrections from new scope and keep the previous output marked as superseded. The contractor retains final tender review and approval.
