What to check before measurement
- Identify coatings, custom profiles, SSG and infill variations.
- Record mockups, testing and procurement requirements.
- Assess handling, access and programme constraints.
A practical bid example
A custom extrusion can introduce tooling and minimum-order costs that are not proportional to facade area. Keep those supplier terms visible.
What the reviewer should receive
A cost-input register with quotation dates, exclusions, validity and allowance basis.
Keep revisions and responsibility visible
Record the source sheet, detail or specification and revision beside the affected item. When information conflicts, leave the affected quantity or price pending and attach a question for the authorised project contact. A blank or unresolved entry must never be silently converted into zero.
Before issuing a revised package, identify changed, removed and added items. Separate measurement corrections from new scope and keep the previous output marked as superseded. The contractor retains final tender review and approval.
