What to check before measurement
- Identify elevation count and non-repeating conditions.
- Separate quantity-only work from supplier and labour pricing support.
- Agree addendum scope, review rounds and rush availability.
A practical bid example
Two tenders with equal facade area can require different effort when one has a repeated system and the other has many bespoke details and incomplete schedules.
What the reviewer should receive
A written fixed-scope quotation stating currency, inclusions, exclusions and revision terms.
Keep revisions and responsibility visible
Record the source sheet, detail or specification and revision beside the affected item. When information conflicts, leave the affected quantity or price pending and attach a question for the authorised project contact. A blank or unresolved entry must never be silently converted into zero.
Before issuing a revised package, identify changed, removed and added items. Separate measurement corrections from new scope and keep the previous output marked as superseded. The contractor retains final tender review and approval.
